Material Section: PET-G

PET-G (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) has been developed for Additive manufacturing, PET-G gives you the best of both worlds in essence due to having very good strength along with high flexibility levels and proving to be very durable. PET-G has a melting point of 220 degrees to 235 degrees however 225 degrees is normally a stable temperature to print with. Another great advantage of this material are that it does not produce nasty emissions. Below are some key points when printing with PET-G.

  • Very Strong
  • Lightweight
  • Durable (ideal for parts that are going to have high impact and force uses)
  • Very flexible
  • Non soluble
  • Heated bed required
